Patchwork Sashiko Jacket Upcycling:
Sunday, July 13th, 1-4

The award winning quilter, Lori Malo is teaching this cool Patchwork Sashiko Method-a unique mash-up of different slow stitching and patchwork techniques. In this class, students will use their own scraps to learn the method of laying out the patchwork and applying the hand-stitching. Students will use what they have learned and move on to embellishing their own woven garment with favorite scraps of all shapes and sizes. Add some hand-stitching on top and garments will be fully transformed! The top should be made of woven fabric (not knit) and will be easier to implement if the front is open or has buttons to open the front. Please note: the hand-stitching will be visible on the inside of the garment as well as the outside.

A detailed supply list will be provided upon registration at Grace & Thyme.

Admission is $45, class size limited to 8.
